The Halls of Baruk-Azhik

Released

Far below the frozen mountains, Where the black rivers slowly run, Stand the sons of fire and granite, Children of the Forge-Father’s son. Iron sparks beneath the hammers, Smoke ascends in glowing waves, Every strike resounds like thunder Through the ancient vaulted caves. And the mountain breathes… And the anvils cry… And the old songs rise again… Hammer fall — the mountains shake, Deep roads roar as dwarves awake. Steel and stone, blood and flame, Baruk-Azhik calls our name. Forge the shield and raise the wall, Let the blackened kingdoms fall. Fire burns beneath us still, And the mountain bends to will. Moradin with hands of iron Shaped the first from earth and flame, Set obsidian deep for vision, Gave the clans their ancient name. Moraskorr within their marrow, Garnet hearts that never yield, Born to stand in endless darkness, Born to die but never kneel. Hear the deep drums… Hear the stone sing… Hear the forge-fires calling… Hammer fall — the mountains shake, Deep roads roar as dwarves awake. Steel and stone, blood and flame, Baruk-Azhik calls our name. Forge the shield and raise the wall, Let the blackened kingdoms fall. Fire burns beneath us still, And the mountain bends to will. If the dark comes crawling higher… If the gates are torn apart… We will meet them in the fire With the mountain in our hearts. No retreat into the shadows, No surrender in the deep, For the halls of Baruk-Azhik Are the oaths we swore to keep. Hammer fall — let kingdoms hear! Dwarven voices drawing near! Stone endures while empires fade, Still the forge-fires never decay! Raise the axes! Sound the drums! Feel the roar of kingdoms come! Deep beneath eternal stone, Baruk-Azhik stands alone! DUM… DUM… DUM-DUM…
