Regency Points: earn and spend your power

Regency Points, usually shortened to RP, are the power you can draw from your bloodline. You spend them to strengthen your blood, use special abilities and maintain certain elite troops. They are separate from gold, prestige and piety.

How much can you save?

Your maximum RP is twice your bloodline strength. A strength of 24 lets you hold 48 RP. Any reward beyond your maximum is lost, so spending some RP before you hit the cap can be useful.

How do you earn it?

Blooded characters receive a yearly reward of 1–10 RP. Hosting a hunt or feast can give you another opportunity to earn RP, once per activity. Your bank never rises above its limit.

The current development mod also adds Cerilian Adventures: successful encounters earn RP for blooded hosts, with three difficulties and recruited companions. Rewards remain capped, and the return event reports the actual gain.

Strengthening your bloodline

The cost is your current bloodline score + 1 RP, and your score increases by one. At score 24 with 30 RP, you pay 25 RP: your new score is 25, you have 5 RP left, and your capacity rises to 50.

Stronger blood opens higher bloodpower tiers and increases your permanent bloodline bonuses. Save enough for the next increase while keeping a reserve for abilities and troop upkeep.

Watch your upkeep

Special class troops cost 1 RP per purchased rank each month, even while unraised. If you cannot pay, you accumulate debt and cannot recruit more special troops until it is settled. Disbanding troops stops their future upkeep but does not erase old debt.
