Gnoll innovations
Forty studies across the four shared ages. Names and precise unlocks are CK3 adaptations of Gnoll themes. Research permits construction or recruitment; it does not provide completed buildings or free regiments.
Age of Ashes — earliest 551
Age of Rebuilding — earliest 675
Age of Kingdoms — earliest 825
Age of Blooded Lords — earliest 950
How research gates work
Each non-siege branch study unlocks two ordinary tiers. Defense studies also unlock the matching Woodland Watchposts tiers. Great Pack Gathering and Trophy Exchange need the second, third and fourth council/exchange studies; Marauder Muster needs the third, fourth and fourth marauder studies, so both later muster tiers share the final-age discovery. Upgrading still requires the previous building.
The starting culture history discovers Hunting Stores, Hideworking, Loot Barter and Marauder Musters. Siege is researched separately. Native law and succession discoveries retain their requirements; the tree does not grant new succession systems or turn tribal governments into feudal ones automatically.
Version and testing
This guide describes the current development mod, updated 11 October 2026. An older beta or Workshop package may differ. Fully restart CK3; use a new test game for starting traditions, discoveries and faith setup. Existing saves can retain earlier culture or faith data. Script and asset checks pass; live gameplay, ageing, facial expressions, equipment fit, animations and save/load still need testing. Preview images are exported-asset diagnostics, not CK3 screenshots.

| Tier | Monthly Regency |
|---|---|
| 1 | +0.10 RP |
| 2 | +0.20 RP |
| 3 | +0.30 RP |
| 4 | +0.50 RP |
Castles, towns and temples pay their direct blooded holder, regardless of class or culture. Vassal holdings do not pay their liege. Occupied holdings pay nothing. Income updates monthly and respects bloodline storage capacity; settlement income has no additional cap.
Sources have four playable levels. They require a landed, blooded Arcane holder with an initialized bloodline score for RP. Their six support chains also have four levels and require the matching primary level. Source income alone retains its shared 4 RP/month cap; Chambers multiply local base RP before that cap. No gold or levies. No realm spells or ley lines.
The separate annual payment rolls 1 or 2 RP with equal probability, for both player and AI blooded characters. Storage capacity still applies. Hunt and feast rewards keep their existing rules.
Any culture. Forest or taiga; non-capital barony; one Source per county.
