Architecture and documentation design

Mod architecture

This is a CK3 script/content mod, not a web application backend. common/ supplies definitions, triggers/effects, values, cultures, faiths, traits, troops and buildings. events/ supplies character events; on_action/ attaches them and effects to engine callbacks. history/ contains small character/title tests and culture initialization. gui/ and gfx/ supply interface/portrait overrides and textures. localization/ supplies English text.

The inventory found 191 common files, 16 event files, seven history files, five GUI files, one interface file, 507 gfx files and 34 localization files. This is discovery scope, not a count of proven playable systems. Tools, artwork masters, backups and release packaging are separate from runtime definitions.

There is no repository Git history in the source folder. File hashes provide the initial change baseline; a future Git repository can supply commits/diffs as additional evidence. There is no mod-owned web API, SQL schema, scheduler or authentication database to document. CK3 engine state, callbacks and saved character variables are the relevant equivalents.

Framework choice

Retain the existing DokuWiki 2026-07-14c at /ck3mod/ as explicitly requested. It supplies native browser editing/preview, revisions, media management, full-text search, namespace organization and section navigation on the existing PHP hosting. Docusaurus/Decap are not installed.

Pages use native DokuWiki text rather than MDX. A local Git workspace stores exactly that content and selected media. The live wiki is the online editing store; pull imports browser changes before agent edits, then Git records the reconciled canonical content. There is no independent Markdown copy of player pages. Requested Markdown maintenance reports point to the canonical wiki pages.

Publication

The helper uses the existing authenticated SSH connection. Native DokuWiki page saves retain revisions and metadata; updated pages are rendered and indexed. No static-site build is needed. This preserves the existing installation and permissions. Backups and temporary work stay outside public_html.

Versions

Development descriptor: 0.0.1; target CK3: 1.19.0.6; documentation: 1.0; verification: 6 October 2026. Existing 0.1.0-beta.1 packaging notes are a separate record, not proof the development descriptor or public release was updated.
